  • Strategic Plan

Our program at Avondale Estates meets every Tuesday, and is led by a life-long educator, Lindy and her husband, Charles. Lindy attended Avondale Estates Elementary School as a child, worked there as teacher, and watched her own children blossom and grow there. We could not find another person who is so connected to the school with whom we will be working! With Charles taking care of logistics, volunteers from Holy Trinity Parish and friends, and donated space from Avondale First Baptist, this program highlights our model of cooperation and partnership. If you would like to help with this program please contact Lindy Newman or Charles Absher.

Donate a New Book to an Avondale Estates Program Participant

Many children in our programs have limited access to books. Please help us spread the love of reading and provide a few new books to a program participant.

Through an organization called First Book, Path To Shine is able to purchase brand new books for program participants for pennies on the dollar. First Book prices range from 45 cents to $5 per book. Your donation of $5 will enable us to purchase at least one new book for a child in this program.
